Inspiring Inhabitants I

Finding inspiration is easy... But carrying it through and continuing to work is often very hard! One of the things I admire most about Ganesh is his ability to just get on with things. He never gets home from work, collapses on the couch and sits there until 2 freddos and a cup of tea have been consumed. Everyday he's out in the garden, working on our ultimate garden plan... While I find it very easy to dream up ideas and plan them out, I prefer to work in short bursts... In the long term though, it's obvious that a routine and a little bit each day is much more effective.
What's more, his commitment means that I'm slowly learning to be more disciplined with my gardening activities... Above are some photos from our activities today. We planted a range of medicinal herbs, as well as lemons and the plants cut from our next door neigbour's garden... Split our indoor plants up into a number of pots... Planted chrysanthemums, pretty blue cornflowers, and a beautiful vine with hearth shaped leaves and gorgeous blue flowers that I found growing near the creek (I only took a tiny cutting!). Ganesh built a makeshift structure (held together by principles of physics I'm told) to hold up the tomatoes... and he also whipped up a unique tomato chutney in the kitchen..
We also scouted the industrial areas a few streets away and found an enormous collection of pallets that had been thrown out... so we're on to a free wood supply for all our garden projects!!
Thanks to Ganesh for being such an inspiration to get on with things...
Keep a watch out for inspiring inhabitants part II!
